Posted in cars with tags on February 14, 2010 by

A contemporary German investigation intends to put female drivers in their position, also if the study is something to follow, it follows that it's positively not behind the steering of an automobile that has to be parked. Yes, this is pretty much what the consequences present.

At front-on, driving backwards along with parallel parking, male drivers surpassed female drivers by directing their cars into the middle of the area, in accordance to the study that found a reference in the Daily Telegraph.

Findings from the study went on to show that the women drivers took considerably more time to park appropriately, whilst also not carrying out the mission as precisely as their male counterparts.

Help Me in Looking for A Car

Posted in cars with tags on February 8, 2010 by

It's time for me to get rid of my 2003 Cadillac Eldorado (priced at approxomately $5thousand) since our home now needs a bigger automobile (3 adults, 1 child and twins expected soon).

I must mention that the vehicle has treated me very well and I have, on no account, felt the lack of power; and the solitary motive that I want to sell it is 'coz I, at this moment, want a bigger car.

I'm not closed to suggestions that take these points into deliberation:
a) bigger
b) comparable minimal emission
c) well-mannered on quick drives (seeing that that's what we principally do)
d) decent on mileage

I would really be looking forward to getting my new car, however it should not be exceedingly high-priced, yet be a car which I can depend on, besides being one that is stress-free to maintain.

Ultimately, if you were contented with the car I mentioned although you just require to swap it for a vehicle which is somewhat bigger, then which one would you select? I am keen on the appearance of the Land Rover. But I sense it will be tough to come across one within the given price range. All wheel drives would be helpful for us seeing that we live in the mountains and we do have several off road tracks are present, however it's not mandatory for it to be an all wheel drive.

While I wait I think I will merely bear on propelling a rental car

Thank you for any suggestions.

A New SUV for my Dad

Posted in automobiles with tags on January 29, 2010 by

My father just returned his Ford Explorer and is looking to charter something else. He previously made clear that the previous SUV was not very kind on his posterior and that it had more than necessary power for Florida… So he's on the lookout for a 4 cylinder or a small 6, and it has to be SUV in view of the fact that he enjoys surfing, etc… and this is the only big vehicle in the house, I borrowed his SUV quite a few times to relocate things around because I own a Honda Accord and my partner a Scion Xa.

Anyway, the budget; it's positively below US $32k including taxes & fees.

He liked the GMC Acadia, but it's way too underpowered, the Turbo version has excellent engine capacity and drives great, but for that much he opines he can do better.

He received a magnificent bargain at Volkswagen for a Jetta SportWagen 2.5L 5 cylinders… but he has a reliability concern given that our Audi Q7 and VW Beetle were constantly facing problems. I recommended that with a 36-month lease he shouldn't face any troubles (in contrast to driving the Audi like he did for around 6 years).

Next there is the recent Subaru Outback, a pretty darn good car, you could smell superiority all over if you choose to explore this car… Dad even suggested that he might have purchased the car by now if it wasn't for the salesman being such a nincompoop… I feel after taxes it gets to $28k or so, however he does seem to be fond of the car a lot.

He drove the Toyota Highlander (4 cylinders) and was of the opinion that it felt quite badly… I didn't get to try out that one, however he does look to be sure that his new SUV will not be a Toyota.

If you are aware of any good SUVs that he can think about without having to splurge a ridiculous amount of money, your suggestions are most welcome.
